I first met David Rainey when I played Cleánte in Moliére’s Tartuffe. He assisted in the stage direction and acting direction. Then I was fortunate to see him as the Ghost of Christmas Present at the Alley Theatre. But, it was his performance in the UH-D O’Kane Theatre production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It that I learned of David Rainey’s incredible ability to breath new life into a 400 year old role. His soliloquy as Jaques – the famous All the world’s a stage speech – gave me a whole new appreciation for the art and craft of stage acting.
With that said, it is with great pleasure that I introduce the David Rainey Studio for Actors. Packages range from $75 – $250 and are available in private and group sessions. Classes will be held at Houston’s Alley Theater, and include Acting for the Profession, Auditions: The Monologue, and private sessions.
